Emergency Evacuation Plan
I am sure that by now all of you have heard about the potential threat of the Missouri River rising and coming through the levy that protects the city. Should this worst case scenario happen we want to be prepared. In the meantime, however, we will continue with church services and office hours as normal.
If the levy breaks we will send out an email and ask for help evacuating the widows and single mom’s who live in the west end area, and also protect the church buildings.
The following is the plan should this become necessary:
1. Pray
2. Send out an email/call for help implementing the plan for families and church
3. Anyone who is available to help will meet at the staging area which is at the church parking lot within two hours from the email.
4. Teams will be deployed to help with evacuations.
5. Should we be in a long term flood situation, we will continue to have church in homes that have been designated around the Omaha/Council Bluffs area.
Should you be in a situation where you have no preparations for a disaster I would recommend a website to visit and consider your needs. The owner of this company is a member of MorningStar Ministries. It is www.zebgear.com
